Archer’s Excuses is a 99-cent marvel of creativity that shouts out a funny excuse to your buddies whenever your arrow goes for a dive. It comes with preloaded excuses AND you can record and add your own.
Better, the author says these are REAL excuses. It’s unclear whether he means the excuses are verifiably true, or simply that he didn’t make them up himself — but it just doesn’t matter. In either case, if your iPhone unexpectedly pipes up with “A Skeeter stung me in the grapes just as I was about to shoot,” you’re going to get a laugh.
Of course, the element of surprise will disappear, and a chunk of the humor may go with it; however, this can no doubt be remedied, at least temporarily, by a judicious application of Essence of Hops. Or a fresh audience. Or new excuses, preferably crafted with a personal touch. The possibilities are endless.
Even their LOGO is sarcastic– a target face with 5 embedded arrows — all five in the blue or white! A clever, understated spoof of the iconic “grouping of 10s” target picture. I love it more because I didn’t “get” it right away. I’m sure you did, though. /cough…
You really can’t NOT get your money’s worth out of this. All 99¢ of it.

Very cool, it’s things like this that might one day cause me to get a cell phone.
It IS very cool. FFX is a small company – the only other thing they do besides archery apps is writing Tae Kwon Do manuals — and since we are a TKD family, I am very appreciative of their work. Nice people!
